Doula
A doula, also known as a birth companion, or birth coach is a non-medical person who stays to support and assists the birthing person and their partner before, during, and after childbirth, to provide emotional support and physical help when needed.
Birth Doula Services
As your doula, I truly listen and support your desires as you move through your pregnancy and childbirth. I am here to help you have a calm and positive experience. I support families through all types of births- natural, medicated, VBAC and cesarean. As well as attend births at all locations home, birth centers and hospitals.
Prenatal Visits
These visits are to get to know each other as well as talk about your birth preferences and what options you have. We will also go over comfort measures during pregnancy and labor. I will be available through call or text. I just request the middle of the night calls to save for when it’s baby day!
Birthing Day
We will be in contact during day/night as labor progresses. I then join families when they are ready. This may be at their home or meet them at the birthing location. After baby is born I stay up to two hours postpartum. Before I leave I like to make sure mom and baby are tucked in and have eaten something.
Postpartum
I visit with families 1-2 times after baby is born. During this meeting, we go over any breastfeeding/newborn questions. We will also take time to talk about your birth experience and any questions you have about your birth or newborn.

Half of your fee is to be paid at the time of hire, with the remaining half paid at 37/38 weeks. I believe everyone should have a doula. If you would like to have doula support but you have a certain budget please still reach out. We can discuss payment options or trade of services.
